| The EMR group was set up in 1992 in Guangzhou. In
the initial years itself, EMR got the opportunity to work closely
with multinational clients such as Proctor & Gamble (P&G)
who were then themselves setting up in China and seeking high quality
research services. This initial grounding was important for EMR
in that it instilled in the company a quality discipline, processes
and mechanisms that are in line with international standards.
From then EMR has grown tremendously gathering an increasingly
transnational client base. Our current client profile is a mix
of local Chinese companies and multinationals from diverse fields.
Most of our current clients are market leaders in their respective
fields, and many are Fortune 500 companies.
From 1996 onwards EMR started offering research-based strategic
and management consultancy services through EMR Consulting, its
strategic consultancy division. Thorough this division, we are
able to offer to clients a ‘one window’ solution to
their research and strategic needs.
EMR set up a liaison office in the US (Chicago) in 1997, and
EMR(International) in Vancouver in 2000 to cater to an increasing
flow of research assignments from North America.
